Picturesque Pineapple

21 June 2010

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been fascinated by the Dunmore Pineapple, a Victorian folly about 5 miles from where I live.  As it was a beautiful day yesterday Stu and I took a little trip out there.

It has walled gardens with cool entrances…

…lots of pretty flowers…

…and nice little walks

Thanks for looking.

All wrapped up

14 June 2010

I got this new Sizzix Create-a-Bow die and I love it so much.  Hope they make a smaller version of it soon.  The first one I did took quite a while to put together, but after that I would say it only takes about a minute to put them together – not as much of a faff as you would think.

Now to keep with the theme of wrapping, a hoodie cardi I’m in the process of knitting for my friend’s little boy

I was hoping to have this finished by now, but as you can see, it’s nowhere near being done – will do a bit each night this week though.

Thanks for looking.

Confession

9 June 2010

I have to confess to blogging nothing in the past month. I have made nothing (although I did start a little cable knit hoodie cardi for my friend’s son, but still not finished it.

I am however alive and determined to craft more. In fact I am going to spend some time crafting tonight, after I’ve cleared all the crap off my desk/floor.

Went to salsa class last night for the first time and absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to go back again next week. Been practising a bit today and managed to dance into the bath whilst brushing my teeth this morning (not really surprising as you can’t swing a cat in our bathroom!).
